Colorado Experiential Counseling

Trauma-informed, faith-rooted therapy through movement, creativity, and compassionate connection.

At Colorado Experiential Counseling, we offer more than talk therapy. Through EMDR, equine-assisted sessions, art-based processing, and somatic care, we help you heal from trauma, anxiety, and grief—body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in evidence-based practices and the belief that no story is beyond redemption, we hold space for your restoration and healing.

You aren't alone.

We understand how trauma and anxiety can overshadow life’s joys, and we’re here to help. We specialize in supporting children 10 years and up, adolescents and adults facing overwhelming stress, painful memories, low self-esteem, and negative perfectionism. Our Care Team provides a warm, nonjudgmental space for you to safely share your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.

Using an experiential approach (which includes EMDR, art, horses, etc.), we uncover the root causes of your distress and develop evidence-based strategies for healing. Together, we’ll identify what holds you back, explore healthier ways to manage emotions, and transform unhelpful patterns into meaningful change.

We also offer Christian counseling for those who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. By blending spiritual principles with proven clinical methods, we strive to foster holistic well-being and strengthen hope for lasting transformation.

If you’re ready to move toward peace and self-acceptance, call or text us at 719-285-7466, or send an email through our contact form. We’ll guide you toward genuine insight, resilience, and a life of renewed hope and purpose.

Couple's Therapy

You remember being in love. When it just felt right... just the two of you conquering the world! But lately, you’re disconnected, and it’s been so long since you’ve felt that way about each other.  We can help you both grow closer together and learn how to communicate effectively; where both of you feel heard by the other.

Experiential Art Therapy

integrate creative expression with somatic awareness to support trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and personal insight. Through hands-on, sensory experiences, clients are invited to explore and process in ways that promote grounding and lasting healing.

At Colorado Experiential Counseling, we incorporate a wide range of expressive mediums, including air-dry clay work, kintsugi (the Japanese art of repair), beading, painting, collage, mixed media, and nature-based materials. Each experience is designed to help clients externalize emotions, restore a sense of wholeness, and reconnect with creativity as a path toward healing.

Equine-Assisted Therapy

Healing happens in connection. Working alongside our therapy horses, clients experience grounding, trust, and emotional release in a deeply calming environment. Through Equine-Assisted EMDR, movement and connection with the horse help the body process trauma and restore a sense of peace and wholeness.

Traditional Talk Therapy

We know that experiential counseling may not be a fit for everyone. With this in mind, we also offer traditional Talk Therapy for those who wish to take a more conventional approach.

Empty Chairs

Group Therapy

It takes courage to open up and be vulnerable; especially in front of other people. Often those within our groups experience a level of solidarity that is not possible in an individual setting. In Group Therapy, having others around you, who are also there for support, can contribute extensively to your own healing and well-being.
